Data Management, Viewing, and Reporting
DYNAMICS data are stored in “experiments”, defined as collections of measurements stored in text formatted files with .exp extensions. Thousands of measurements can be stored within the experiment file, which can be analyzed, viewed, graphed, compared, or printed one at a time or in any combination. We recommend that data be organized into experiment files by particle type, project, user, plate, or in a logical manner suited to your needs.
A series of measurements are typically data collected from a sample prepared over a range of solution conditions (particle, pH, ionic strength, temperature, etc.) or the wells in a well plate reader. The measurements are listed in the left pane of the experiment window. Selecting a particular node or measurement will change the data presented in the window.
Data are viewed numerically, in the Datalog Grid, as shown above or graphically, as shown below.
One of the most powerful features of DYNAMICS is the built-in dual y-axis Datalog Graph (above). Data highlighted in the Datalog Grid from Measurements selected in the left hand pane are presented in the Graph.
Data can be exported for further analysis or directly copied/pasted into MS compatible applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) for custom reporting.
DYNAMICS provides a semi-custom reporting capability through the Print Node. Data are sent directly to the printer or alternatively to Adobe for generation of digital reports in ‘pdf’ format. Shown below is a typical two page report.
