Built-in Solvent Database

Accurate information about the sample temperature, refractive index, and solvent viscosity is necessary for an accurate calculation of the hydrodynamic radius.  All DynaPro measure the temperature of the sample, and DYNAMICS contains a built-in database containing the viscosity and RI of common solvents.

If your formulation is not included in the list of solvents, we recommend you download a copy of the SEDNTERP program developed by experts in biophysical characterization (Tom Laue, John Philo, David Hayes) which can estimate viscosity from a list of additives and their molar concentration.  A screen shot of the SEDNTERP viscosity calculator is shown below.
