Hybrid structural model of the complete human ESCRT-0 complex

This article reveals a model for the complete ESCRT-0 complex which is comprised of Hrs and STAM proteins. This complex sorts ubiquitinated cell surface receptors to lysosomes for degradation. A 1:1 stoichiometry was determined by using Wyatt multi-angle light scattering (DAWN®) and quasi-elastic light scattering (QELS) instrumentation along with an Optilab® differential refractometer and ASTRA® software. A monodisperse complex was confirmed with static light scattering measurements of 140 kDa and a hydrodynamic radius of 7.9 nm.
