CQA Assessment of GLP-1 Agonist with SEC-MALS
Presented by: Udayabagya (Bud) Halim (Waters | Wyatt Technology)
Presented Live: October 15, 2025
Characterizing GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs), now central to diabetes and weight management therapies, demands precise and reliable analytical methods across development, manufacturing, and quality control. This webinar explores how light scattering techniques—including dynamic light scattering (DLS) and multi-angle light scattering (MALS)—enable detailed assessment of critical quality attributes (CQAs). With a particular focus on MALS coupled to size-exclusion chromatography (SEC-MALS) under native and denaturing conditions, attendees will learn how these approaches provide robust, quantitative insights into molar mass, size, aggregation, and oligomeric state, as well as their impact on colloidal stability.
Case studies will showcase the characterization of GLP-1 analogs—including liraglutide, semaglutide, and related peptides—highlighting applications such as aggregation screening, impurity profiling, and stability analysis. The session will also discuss how the latest iteration of Empower™ Chromatography Data System integrates advanced detectors for orthogonal characterization in QC workflows, delivering secure, compliant data handling to support product integrity and regulatory readiness.
