Capillary trapping of nanomaterials for 3D micro-/nanofabrication

A team led by Metin Sitti at the Max Planck Institute developed a capillary-trapping strategy that assembles nanomaterials into versatile 3D microstructures. Neutralizing electrostatic repulsion between individual components was crucial for structural stability. Using a Wyatt DLS/SLS/ELS instrument, they measured zeta potential to find the optimal solvent salt concentration resulting in stable microstructures.

Identify the right SEC-MALS column

Wyatt Technology's online column selector tool assists users in choosing the optimal size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) column for specific applications. Upon selecting sample type or size range, the tool recommends columns tailored for SEC-MALS with Wyatt detectors.

Congratulations to Professor David Baker!
Nobel Prize 2024

Congratulations to David Baker of the University of Washington on being awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his groundbreaking work in computational protein design. He shares this honor with Demis Hassabis and John M. Jumper of DeepMind for their advancements in protein structure prediction. As a valued Wyatt customer for over a decade, it has been our honor to support Prof. Baker in the experimental aspects of his work.

Ask the Expert
What resources does Wyatt offer to quantify LNP quality attributes with SEC/FFF-MALS?

The LNP Guidance Manual, included with ASTRA's LNP Analysis module, provides detailed protocols and insights for characterizing multiple quality attributes of LNP-RNA in a single SEC-MALS or FFF-MALS run, requiring no calibration curves, reagents or complex assays. This article introduces Wyatt's resources for essential LNP-RNA characterization.
