Polymers used in medical devices and drug-delivery systems, as active pharmaceutical ingredients, and especially bio-absorbables, invariably require reliable characterization of the molar mass distribution. The types of polymers used in these applications can be difficult to analyze using size exclusion chromatography (SEC) due to limited solubility, interactions with column packings, or high molar mass.
This webinar will provide insight into the methods used for absolute molar mass analysis of modern medical polymers. Case studies will be presented to illustrate some of the techniques employed to solve the analytical challenges these materials present.
