We apply multiple biophysical techniques to the study of HIV integrase and the antiviral effects of small molecules that target this protein, including X-ray crystallography, small angle X-ray scattering, and analytical ultracentrifugation. Light scattering measurements, including SEC-MALS and DLS, are key enablers of this ongoing research. In the webinar I will describe how all of these techniques come together and complement each other to provide deeper understanding of the structure and function of HIV integrase, more effective screening of anti-HIV integrase compounds, and a complete picture of the therapeutic mechanism of arising drug candidates.
