Oxidized mono-, di-, tri-, and polysaccharides as potential hemoglobin cross-linking reagents for the synthesis of high oxygen affinity artificial blood substitutes

Professor Palmer's team at the University of Notre Dame used their DAWN, Optilab and Eclipse systems to to measure the absolute molecular weight distribution of PolyHb dispersions in their study of oxidized mono/di/tri/poly saccharides as potential hemoglobin cross-linkers in order to produce oxygen carriers with high oxygen affinities and high molar masses.
